A cute idea I saw was in a wedding, bells, and a beautiful poem made for the bells. They also include a PS at the end that says the ring for a kiss from the bride and groom. It is much nicer than people banging on the glass knife.
The rocks are a good idea. I wonder if you notice, they could elsewhere at a craft store or online. Pier 1 is certainly not the cheapest place to buy flat stones.
You can also use a little poem on a gift box, then the small chocolate inside. It could also be a small label on each box and put the poem to this point.
